Pabelokan Island, part of the Thousand Islands archipelago, serves as the operational hub for PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore Southeast Sumatera (PHE OSES). On this island, crucial business activities such as oil and gas production, offshore operation management, and logistics and maintenance of oil and gas equipment are carried out with high intensity. To ensure the smooth operation of these activities, a reliable supply of clean water is essential.

Clean water is not only required for production activities but also for the daily consumption of the workers residing on the island. Maintaining high-quality clean water supports optimal performance, operational sustainability, and the health and comfort of the workforce.

To meet the clean water and drinking water needs on Pabelokan Island, we have installed a state-of-the-art water treatment facility with a capacity of up to 1,400 m� per day. This facility utilizes advanced Sea Water Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) and Two-Stage Reverse Osmosis (TWRO) technologies.

The SWRO technology enables us to transform seawater into clean, potable water through an effective process that removes salts and harmful particles. This makes SWRO an ideal choice for locations like Pabelokan Island, which is surrounded by seawater. On the other hand, the TWRO technology provides an added advantage with its two-stage filtration, ensuring that the water produced is not only clean but also exceptionally pure, meeting the highest standards for daily consumption.

TWRO is particularly well-suited for environments that require high-quality drinking water with efficient and reliable processing. The combination of these technologies ensures that every drop of water we produce supports operational sustainability and the well-being of the workforce on Pabelokan Island.
